Our case managers ensure that safeguarding is at the heart of every decision we make for children and young people. We work to protect their welfare, maintain their rights, and create secure care plans that prioritise safety at home, in school, and in the wider community.

By coordinating with health, social care, and education professionals, we ensure that all safeguarding responsibilities are clear, consistent, and focused on the child’s best interests.

Families often come to us at an overwhelming and uncertain time. We understand the emotional impact of serious injury or trauma and provide calm, compassionate support to help families feel guided rather than alone.

We work closely with parents and carers, listening carefully and ensuring their concerns are understood. By coordinating with health, social care, and education professionals, we help create clear, joined-up support focused on safeguarding, stability, and the child’s long-term wellbeing.

We work closely with schools, education services, and local authorities to support a child’s return to learning or transition into an appropriate educational setting. By coordinating education plans alongside health and care needs, we help ensure schooling is safe, realistic, and tailored — supporting continuity, inclusion, and the child’s long-term development.

Our Case Managers have specialist experience in navigating Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and working with both mainstream and private educational settings. They support families through assessment, planning, and review processes, helping secure appropriate provision and ensuring education arrangements align with the child’s needs, abilities, and long-term goals.

How we can help

“We bring clarity to complex brain injury, ensuring clinical decisions are sound, and expert opinion is clear, balanced, and trusted.”

Katherine Rowe

Clinical Manager

Supporting Recovery and Development After Childhood Brain Injury

P, aged 7, sustained a moderate brain injury and multiple physical injuries following a road traffic accident at the age of 3. Harrison Associates provided early case management to coordinate rehabilitation, including physiotherapy and psychological support. While physical recovery has been strong, with full return to school activities, ongoing monitoring has identified emerging cognitive and attentional differences. With educational psychology input now in place, P’s support remains structured and responsive, ensuring his development, learning, and long-term outcomes are actively managed as he grows.

Growing Independence. Supporting Transition into Adulthood with Complex Needs

P, aged 15, lives with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and complex care needs following a traumatic birth. After a period without case management, Harrison Associates were reinstructed to reintroduce structure and support, with a focus on increasing her involvement in decision-making as she approaches adulthood. Through coordinated psychological input, careful implementation of a support worker, and a graded approach to building independence, P is now engaging in education, developing daily living skills, and participating more fully in her community within a stable and sustainable support framework.
