We are thrilled to announce the newest member of the Harrison Associates team - Joanne Lowe - who has joined us as our new Expert Witness Service Lead.

 

Before this role, Joanne was an expert trainer for Somek and Associates. She has worked as an expert witness for 17 years and worked as an independent occupational therapist.

 

We thought the best way to introduce Joanne would be through a little Q&A, so without further ado, here she is!

 

What made you want to join Harrison Associates?

I have known about Harrison and Associates for many years due to working with a competitor in the expert witness field. When the opportunity to build the expert witness service within Harrison Associates was presented to me, I jumped at the chance!

 

What are you most excited to explore in your new role?

I am very excited to be working with a group of very experienced and established expert witnesses, but I am also excited to explore the potential for increasing our expert base, to include therapists and liability experts. In addition, I want to work with our customers to ensure that the service we provide meets their needs, in the best and most efficient way possible.

 

Tell us one thing people don’t know about you?

I love a challenge. Last year, I hiked the sandstone trail in Cheshire (34 miles) in one day. This year, I want to complete a sprint triathlon, after having been working towards it in 2020 at the time of the pandemic.

I also must mention, that I once met Brad Pitt in Los Angeles when on my elective placement at university – it’s my claim to fame!

 

What would you say is your most valuable skill?

Communication. I have been told by many people that I am approachable and easy to talk to. Listening is also a valuable skill. I think that these all go a long way in the type of work that I have done in the past and what I will continue to do in the future.

 

What new perspectives do you bring to the business?

The perspective of what has worked well and what hasn’t elsewhere and perhaps having a different viewpoint and fresh ideas to take Harrison Associates' expert witness service forward.
