The Role
The role involves supporting the Case Management Service Lead in the delivery of a high quality, efficient and effective rehabilitation case management service for catastrophically injured clients. The role will involve the provision of clinical supervision and mentorship to a multidisciplinary team of Associate Case Managers, whilst also maintaining your own small case load of clients. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the company.
Main Responsibilities
- You will work alongside a small team of clinical managers to support the clinical leadership of the case management team and ensure a high quality and effective clinical case management service to catastrophically injured clients.
- You will supervise and monitor the work of a small multidisciplinary team (OTs, physiotherapists, social workers, nurses) of case managers, carrying out case reviews and providing ‘on the spot’ advice and feedback.
- You will provide training and mentorship to new case managers in training.
- You will support the Case Management Service Lead to develop and improve the service in line with industry standards and will work closely with the senior management team to contribute to the organisation’s strategic direction.
- You will fulfill the role of clinical specialist for a speciality area.
The person we are looking for
- Someone who is passionate about improving the independence, well-being and quality of life of catastrophically injured individuals.
- An HCPC registered Allied Health Professional (e.g. occupational therapist or physiotherapist), SWE registered social worker, or an NMC registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 3 years’ case management experience with catastrophically injured clients e.g. (traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, children’s birth related injuries or trauma, complex poly trauma).
- Experience overseeing complex care packages and implementing rehabilitation.
- A member of CMSUK and/or BABICM who intends to uphold the standards of the IRCM.
- Experience of training, mentoring and supervising others.
- A compassionate and supportive individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who is able to provide clear and effective feedback.
